Roxy needs a friend. I don’t think it is right to have only one dog. Dogs need other dogs just like people need other people. So, now that Roxy is three, I’m going to get her another dog. A puppy that she can groom. Little, like her. It will have to wait until after the summer when I know I can give my attention too, because I remember what those first six months are like, and I have a trial coming up. But when that is done, I will bring another puppy home to be loved.

I have had migraines since I was 11 years old and now I am 42. I have migraines with auras, specifically a visual disturbance, numbness in my hands and face, and sometimes nausea. My visual disturbance I best describe as a two headed dragon, like the kind you see in Chinatown on Chinese New Year’s.
I have done many things in my life to make these headaches go away. Currently, I take Topamax daily. This helps, greatly, reducing my headaches from 12 a month to 2-4 a month. But I need to get them down to one a month. I have decided to try a low glycemic index diet, not only for weight loss, but also because I have read that low GI diets help those with migraines. I hope this will help me control these headaches before they control me.
I read somewhere that people who have flowers in their homes are happier. I remember when I was watching “Enchanted” at the end of the movie, when she was together with the formerly grumpy Dad and his daughter, the house was full of flowers, and the princess was a cheerful sort. Flowers do make me smile, and I would rather spend a few dollars on flowers and brew my own coffee….
