How to take my husband and daughter to see the White House

How I did it: Well I didn't think they were doing tours anymore, and when I found out called my meber of congress.  I spoke to an aide in the office who really helped and kept me informed.  I got a wheelchair once I got there and my hubby pushed me around.  We used the elevators because of the chair so we got to see a few extra rooms!  My daughters favorite was the kitchen!  (She love to cook!) How to adopt Kate

How I did it: My husband and I actually looked into it a few years ago but decided that Kate should be the one to decide.  December 2008 she came to me and asked me to adopt her.  We got a lawyer and filed right away.  Even though her birthmother had been gone for 7 years, we still had to terminate her rights.  She came back and tried to fight us.  She gave up before she even testified, after my husband and I did and also after… Read how I did it…

Almost done!! 5 months ago

May 22 we had a hearing to terminate her birth mothers parental rights. On that day the birth mom showed up and asked for a continuence and got one. June 18, 2009 we went in and the birth mother stopped fighting after testimonies were given. The adoption is almost done!!! YAY!!!
