Use Linux. It’s an incredibly freeing feeling. You actually own your computer when you use Linux. When you use Windows, you get the feeling that Microsoft gets to have a say in how you use your computer, at least that is my feeling. It’s nice not to have to keep track of licenses, not have you computer crash all the time, and be able to legally share more stuff.

Green is really important to me. That is one reason that I have started this free website to help people trade their computer parts. If you have an old computer, don’t throw it out, put Linux on it and give it to a kid to pound on! Linux runs great on older hardware.
Computers have lots of heavy metals in them. Keep them out of landfills!

No joke. Computers are everywhere right now, and they’re easy to get for free. I give them away for free here, with the Linux operating system. No strings attached. You can even install a stolen copy of Windows on them, if you want, but I actively discourage that. Linux is also free, so why would you want an illegally free operating system, when you can get a legally free operating system, with lots of legally free applications?
Sure it won’t be quite a fast as a new computer, but if ya don’t need super speed, old computers with Linux run fine and fast, and no viruses.
