I did this for my birthday this past April 16 months ago

Tickled to hear the pianist in the atrium performing the theme to “Hockey Night in Canada.” We have some boxes of tea as mementos of our visit.

sleep at the Sylvia Beach Hotel (read all 2 entries…)

I did it! 16 months ago

We were in the Meridel LeSueur room, which has probably been renamed and remodeled now (don’t blame us). My kid didn’t enjoy the trundle bed so much, but a kind guest did invite us up to check out her Dr. Seuss room.

The hotel owner was distrustful of my child’s ability to behave himself, but he quite charmed the front desk staff and fed the hotel’s cat Dickens some bacon from breakfast.

I would absolutely go again. Even with $6/gallon gas prices.

I started attending a church that focuses on developing the spiritual community and working for social justice. I feel more at peace and at one with the world when I attend weekly service there.
