How I did it: I signed up for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Run in Newark, NJ. I started running small increments on the treadmill, then graduated to running outside. I used MapMyRun.com to map out the right distance in my hometown. Then I started running the 5K distance 2-3 times per week. Before I knew it, I was ready to race! How I did it: I took improv class at The PIT in New York. I took "level 0" which was a 4 week course (one class a week). The instructor was awesome and I made tons of new friends. I'm even signing up for the next level (level 1) which is 8 weeks and ends in an actual show that you perform at the theater in front of a real audience!
