by “Spring” and when I say spring I mean May.. (cause that is when the snow melts up here, not Spring today, as the calandar says) comes, I hope to slow down a little. I know things won’t accually slow but I guess what I am looking for is that it will be different. Getting building started. Getting outside projects dealt with, working more with the animals and in the dirt. Winters are so very long up here, I never used to mind when I had the time to enjoy them. Getting the fire by the pond going and skating with the kids late into the night, walking down endless snowy trails and being blessed to come across a cow moose and her calf. Just the simple, beautiful things. I don’t think i ever took them for granted. I miss spending time out at the cabin. I don’t think I have even seen it since Oct/nov – sad when it is less than a 5 min walk from the farm.
I’m looking forward to part of my winter job to be over- 2 more weeks. Then we are going to go on a week vacation with the family (granted I can find someone to check in on the farm and cover my regular job – Man it will be nice to be working only 1 job!:) When I get back I am hoping to feel refreshed in a way, and have a new perspective on life so Ican get my priorities and goals in order. I am looking forward to it:)

life has gotton extremely hectic. It just seemed to sneak up on us. We used to have time for projects, reading, relaxing, just generally doing what we wanted, when we wanted within a “normal” schedule. We have let that slip away. We aren’t afraid of hard work- we accually thrive on it, but there needs to be balance, and for a tiem now we haven’t had much of that in our lives. Now it is time to get it back and stop running at the pace that is taking us from oursleves.
to deceide what we want in a home. This includes it’s purpose, how we relate to it, how it relates to us. It’s more than the building process, it is a reflection of us – but also upon us for it will affect how we feel. We will have to develop a list of what that means and what “home” is.
