Well, my teacher was playing the melody on violin, but since I’m the student, she wanted the piano part with her to accompany me, but the song was 6 pages long, and the pageturner got confused. So the parts weren’t really together most of the song. I’m sad my first performance didn’t go so well. That being said, it seemed like everyone really liked the song, and I’m glad to say I wasn’t anymore nervous playing that song in front of people than any other… in fact, I was more excited playing it than all my others.

How I did it: You'd laugh, but I seriously was considering suicide at 3rd grade. 3rd and 4th grade were completely horrible years for me because of bullies, teasing, and loneliness.... 5th grade, they didn't affect me (as much), and for a while I thought I just got used to it. But looking back I realized it must have been my outlook that changed everything.I know it probably feels stupid taking advice from something I did in 5th grade, but ch… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was a painfully shy girl in 5th grade yet I joined the choir anyway. While I attended every rehearsal, I never sang out, so no one could hear me. I took chorus again in 6th grade. There was a solo available, and no one in my class had the courage to sing in front of people, so I did. I got encouragement from my chorus teacher, and I gradually got better at singing in front of people.Singing is something that can always make me happy. It… Read how I did it…
How I did it: A friend forwarded a video from meat.org that showed all the pain animals go through. After watching that, I decided to become a vegetarian. I grew up in a family that loves meat, but surprisingly, it wasn't hard at all. I just stopped the day after watching the video. People kept telling me that this was unhealthy. It is if you don't eat a variety of foods. Vegetarianism opened my eyes to what I was eating. And although I was t… Read how I did it…

I made it!
This has been the first time I tried out for a dancing/spinning/sport… thing in my life, and… I sucked. Like in the clinics, the teacher scolded me the most out of everyone. Someone else in the guard assured me that she was just doing that because she thought I had potential, but I still felt bad about myself at the end of each clinic. Yet on audition day, we went over the routine… I actually got it! I struggled all the days we were learning it, and I always forgot it when I got home, so I couldn’t practice, but I actually knew what to do!
So… yeah, follow your heart… seriously. I’m glad I stook with it.
Edit: “Where there is no vision, a people perish.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. I love how relevant the random quotes on the right are. Although “perish” is a little too… deadly sounding. I’d prefer “sink.”
Probably not. I was so scared about taking my first AP exam, but my preparation paid off. I knew I would be okay with the multiple choice, but it was the FRQs that scared me. But 2 of the FRQs were really easy for me. The other… well, I know I at least got a point or two.
Even though I won’t get my grade until July, I’m checking this off. Even if I get a 1, it was a big step for me to take my first AP exam… not to mention, taking Human Geography this year taught me an important lesson: Don’t slack off in AP classes!
