How I did it: I knew I had to make myself open and receptive to school - that means getting rid of the other complications in life. It's hard to get rid of responsibilities but realizing that most of my responsibilities come from my own desire to 'have' helped a lot. I quit my 'career' job, got a part time retail position to put some money in my pocket and I'm paying my way with student loans and part time money. It's not luxurious but it's not that ba… Read how I did it…
...I had a really good motivator for this one. My house is a disaster…not a super total disaster – I’ve seen worse…but not by much. I don’t understand how it happens though. I know how to cook and clean, I seem to spend most of my time doing it and yet I never get anywhere. Add to that my desire to look and sound the part and I don’t think I’ll ever accomplish this goal but I’ll try. First thing I need to establish is what I’m actually trying do. I want to:
Keep a clean AND tidy house everyday
Never go to bed with dishes in the sink
Have all my clothes clean at the end of the day
Cook all of our 3 squares a day from scratch
Dress and “make myself up” EVERY morning not just special ones.
Be more demure and much less bitchy.
- and enjoy it!
I want to this goal accomplished ASAP so when we’re ready to start having kids I will be the ultimate stay-at-home mom, and all the other broads at the homeschooling play groups will chitter jealously about how perfect I am while eating my award winning peanut butter squares, lol!
I want to do this gradually, cause that’s the only thing that will work. I hope to complete this goal in roughly one year, no longer than 2.
well, this one’s a no brainer. My husband and I are super broke and I’m an artist – problem is I’m a shopaholic! I LOVE buying new, manufactured goods!! It just feels so…happy! So I’m taking the ‘handmade pledge’ and I’m going to attempt to make everyones gifts this year. My husband is amazing when it comes to baking so between cookies and crafts we should be able to pull Christmas out of our proverbial asses.
