Since the organisation for which I was going to produce this proposal sank rather more quickly than even I anticipated, it appears that this is something I’m not going to be able to complete. So I’m going to abandon this thing out of necessity and come up with something else – I have another idea in mind which will rely only on me (with a bit of help from a friend). No excuses then…

So, day two of the detox – it seems to be having an impact on my appetite anyway, but I’m eating when I’m not necessarily hungry and that can’t be a good thing. The scales had moved down a bit this morning, probably a temporary blip. One more day with the powder thingies, then another four on the diet restrictions and we will see what happens. At least I’m giving it a go.
I was right when I first opted for ‘enjoy life more’ as one of my 43 things. It is the little things which add up to enjoyment. My treating myself to a muffin and a venti white chocolate mocha and sitting in Starbucks to read was a very little thing, but it felt nice.
My little excursion north of Worcester last Monday was also a little thing – and in the rain it could have been terribly miserable. But I had time to walk around Witley Court, which I largely had to myself; I saw the fountain firing; I watched wild rabbits hopping through the undergrowth and pretending not to exist; and I sat in the small tearoom linked to the neighbouring church and indulged myself with a cafetiere and a scone with strawberry jam and cream. It was a very little thing, a brief morning out. But it improved my week a bit.
