I finally started my first dutch class. I seem to be doing ok….though it is speeding up rather quickly. I am also trying to speak more dutch with my dutch friends, and with people at stores. Slowly, but surely.

I have gotten better at controlling my panic. I’ve been working on my self-talk, though it doesn’t always work. Since I moved to Amsterdam and stopped driving, I haven’t had one panic attack, so reducing my stresses obviously helps. When I was on vacation I had high levels of anxiety (ironic, eh??), but I was able to control it and never have an attack. It was still miserable, but at least I didn’t have an attack. I have also met some people who also have panic attacks, and that is very helpful.
All of my friends tend to look like me, same skin color, same style, and same sexual orientation. Boring. I want to meet different types of people.
