I love singing and music in general. And I want to be able to accompany myself someday. I tried piano way back when I was in the third grade and quit much earlier than I should have. I really regret it, and am ready to change it.

I’m catholic, and next to sharing in its beliefs in compassion and accepting the consequences of your actions, I also feel a connection to its strong traditions. And to be able to go back and explore that more thoroughly, I feel like I need to understand the language in which its teachings were first spoke.

I have the opportunity to attend my dream college next year. It costs beyond what my family can afford, but they’re paying for it anyway because they know how much it means to me. I need to prove to them that they’ve made the right decision. My grades prior have always disappointed them. Now is the time for me to change that.
