It’s such a part of my day. And as I’m not working at the moment, it’s actually the only part of my day. I was in there this morning and decided I wasn’t really enjoying the experience. Then I realized that the money I would save if I quit, between now and january, would pay off my overdraft, pay for my London to L.A. flight and give me $200 to, I dunno, go see my friend in Mississippi? So I quit.
But what do I do now? I wake up, and then….? I have NOTHING to do! I’m bored enough as it is! It will be easier when I’m working and I’m back at the gym, but until then, I’m screwed.

How I did it: I packed up my stuff and moved. I was planning on staying for a few months before I moved to L.A., but I have had a run of bad luck here and whilst it's not a bad city (and I'll die loving the Blazers) it's time for me to move on.My heart is in Los Angeles, and so is my career, so my plan now is to go home for a few months, save some more, and make the permanent move to L.A. I'm glad I've spent the last 3 months in Portland but everything… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had to figure out why I was still in love with him. We'd never really been together, and in the 3 years I've known him I've dated better looking, more interesting guys than him. There was a reason I couldn't let go, and I had to figure it out.I've had a lot of change in my life, such as moving countries, growing apart from friends, deaths in the family - and my career, as an actress, won't allow me to settle down in the suburbs any time… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had lessons with one instructor, and then another, and kept having to stop because of lack of funds and then a move to the U.S. When I came back in the summer I found an instructor I really clicked with - in the end we became just like friends having a drive round! I failed my first test like I knew I would and was much more prepared for the second one and knew what to expect. This helped so much. I took my test today with the head exam… Read how I did it…

So I’ve just returned home from Portland, and the couple of weeks before I left I thought a lot about my financial situation, what I’ve done wrong before, and came up with a 6 month plan.
The plan is to work full time for the next six months, and do some private tutoring – I already have interviews with two tutoring companies. The dilemma is, I have a job interview on Thursday (I have a strong chance of getting it) which pays good money ($14 an hour- good for me as a recent graduate and temp) but the hours are only 9 until 2.30 Mon – Fri. Whilst this could be good, as it will allow me much more time to tutor, it’s not ideal.
In the meantime, I’m waiting to hear back from another agency to see if I can go back to my old job: $13.20 an hour but full time hours. I can still tutor in the evening – I won’t be able to do as much, but I won’t need to earn as much because I’ll make a lot of money from the day job.
So: I’m basically just waiting to hear on the old job. I’m not sure which one I’d rather do – the part time one would work out well if I managed to get enough tutoring work, but as it’s the summer, I can’t rely on it. Ugh. Just out of curiosity, which job do you think would be best?
Moving in 3 weeks and need to find a roommate, ideally in W. Hollywood or Studio City and ideally with another actor(s). Been searching, but no luck!
Help?
