Well, it turns out that I qualify for entry into the 6 month advanced Japanese course at my university. It will begin mid year, so I have a few months to brush up on my skills… Very excited!

All diet plans have gone (almost) out the window during the Christmas/ New Year celebrations. My diet is still meat and alcohol free (10 years without meat this year!), and I try to stay away from sugar but processed (especially frozen) foods as well as chocolate and biscuit treats have taken over my life! This will change as of tomorrow.
My fiancee and I have now decided on a budget plan. Now to go to the bank and sort out a couple of joint accounts. We have decided to have one high-interest savings account that is accessible via internet only, and one daily spending account for VISA and EFTPOS. All funds will go into the high-interest account and a set amount will trickle into the daily account on a weekly basis.
Lets see how it goes…
With any luck, getting this sorted will help with our other goal of going to Japan sometime in the future…. oh, and buying wedding rings and so forth!
