I think I’m getting on OK in French, but Spanish not so good! I’ve been doing French for six years, so that’s getting on nicely, but Spanish I’ve only been doing for two years, so that has a long way to go yet. I’m not sure how to ‘catch up’ in Spanish though

Just started AS levels this year. I’m aiming to do as well as possible in these, so that I can afford to do slightly less well next year, and still get As overall, although I would like to do really well next year too, and will work to this end.
I really need As, as I want to go to Oxford to study Law, so without them, no chance!
For GCSEs, I got 11 A*s and 2 As, though, so I think that this is realistic
So far I have read…
‘Emma’, ‘Pride and Prejudice’, ‘Sense and Sensibility’ – Jane Austen
‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ – Harper Lee
‘A Room with a View’ – E.M. Forster
‘Jane Eyre’ – Charlotte Bronte
‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’ – Jules Verne
‘Little Women’ – Louisa May Alcott
Hmm, I think that’s it. Quite appalling really, that that’s all the classics I’ve ever read…
