pay off my debt
Slow and steady wins the race. 3 days ago

I have been working on this since the debt accumulated during the summer. My husband and I moved to a city last year and things cost more then we were used to. During that year we had very little luck with finding a stable job and ended up moving back to our small town to prevent more debt and to try to start over. We plan on trying the city again when we have paid those that we owe and once we can find a good job situation. I left the city owing a total of $3,500 to various companies. Since then I have managed to pay off $2,500 using the money that my husband and I received from our FAFSA and student loans. He does have $35,000 in student loans but I am not counting that as debt as of yet since they are deferred. That means that my current debts are as follows:

1. $431 to the electric company
2. $431 to the bank for overdrafts
3. $70 to the gas company

Total owed: $932

We are both still unemployed and will continue to pay these debts using FAFSA overflow money. The light at the end of the tunnel is in sight… We just have to avoid being hit by the train!

stop biting my nails (read all 4 entries…)
gahhh! 1 week ago

I am so ready to mark this goal as done but I am forcing myself to be patient. Last time I added this goal I marked it done after 2 weeks and then started biting again. I am almost at 3 weeks since I have bitten and they are growing nicely. I am just so ready to have something on the done list but I think I need to wait til Dec. 7th (one month chew free) at least. Time, I demand that you go faster!

plant a vegetable garden
I have wanted to do this... 1 week ago

since I was little. When I was like 7 I planted potatoes in my backyard but my mom ran them over with the lawn mower… so I moved them. The next time she mowed she avoided the original “garden” and mowed them over again… I was sad. That was my first experience with growing vegetables. When I was 9 my best friend had what I saw as a huge garden in her backyard complete with sunflowers that went all the way to the sky (from my perspective anyway). I thought it was so amazing and ever since I have had plans of planting my own. Unfortunately I have never had the space and I’m sure that I won’t until I own a home. But mark my words… I will have GIANT SUNFLOWERS of my own!
