That’s how long my boyfriend and I have been dating! His brother just got married and we were involved and my aunt’s getting married in January, so wedding’s are all around us and we’ve been talking/fantasizing about ours.
I can’t wait for that day to come :)
When I first wrote an entry on this I was just starting nursing school and saying how I’ll be 25 probably when we get married. But now it’s already 2 years later! I’ll be 23 in about 2 months and I’m a junior in nursing school!!! The wait will be well worth it and I’m just so happy with the way things are now.
Hope you’re all doing well!!!

How I did it: I make playlists on my iPod of songs I love to sing, and play them in my car on my way to school or my boyfriend's house.I joined a community women's chorus that rehearses every Monday night from 7:15-9:45. I know the director and I even have a solo this season! I love it so much, I feel like the rehearsals could go on for hours and I wouldn't mind.I also sang at my boyfriend's brother's wedding reception. It was awesome! Read how I did it…
So I’m coming down to the end of my fall semester of my junior. Right now I’m in my med-surg rotation and I’m at Newark Beth Israel Medical Ceneter. I love my clinical professor and I’m learning so much. I passed my med administration exam and so I’m now giving out meds! I’ve even done two injections already! It’s exciting.
But…this semester has definitely been the most difficult so far, thanks to Pharmacology. I can’t believe how much information there is. And the clinicals are a lot of work. But I’m enjoying all of it!
So basically 5 semesters down and 3 more to go! YAYYYY!
Hope the rest of you are doing well on your journey to becoming a nurse!!! :)
I’m not sure of the last time I updated on this goal. I now have 4 tattoos. I have the big butterfly on my lower back (has a lot going on, but I designed it and it has a lot of meaning) that I must have mentioned. On my right ankle I have the Billy Joel lyrics “I’d rather laugh with the Sinners than cry with the Saints” and the Japanese symbol for music under it. On my left hip I have a moon with a bunch of stars and stuff going on (was my first one) and on my left wrist I have a couple of hearts and curly cues. That one has a lot of meaning as well, as simple as it sounds. But hey, those are the best kind.
I’ve been wanting to get a sparrow on my other hip. Been thinking bout it for quite a while. Well, my mom decided she wanted a tattoo as a Mother’s Day/birthday present from my brother and I. So I took her to get it done last week. She is THE LAST person you would expect to see get one. I won’t even go into it.
So, I took her to Starlight Tattoo in Pequannock. We went to their website and they have pictures and profiles of all the artists. We checked them out. We got there and the artist available was perfect for my mom. He was in his late 40’s (she’s in her early 50’s), has a few tattoos but is not covered, didn’t have piercings, etc. He was chill and they ended up talking about “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives”. So, yea. But…then there was the other artist. Hot. When we went back after the consultation to get it done, he wasn’t busy so I went and talked to him and made my appointment with him. Yay :D So now, as he put it I’ll be “evening out”. Woot!
