Unable to complete this goal until my birthday when my wonderful darling mother will buy me a guitar as an 18th birthday present along with a book teaching me the basics of guitarness. And hopefully an automatic tuner. I have a feeling I won’t be good at doing that myself. Will update once I am holding a live guitar in my hands

How I did it: A patient man who was willing to take the time to get past the walls I had taken years and years to set up. Without him I would still be floundering and struggling to tell people what I want to do that day, let alone what I want in life. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I realized how much it was (or could) hurt my friends and family if they saw me doing this. Saw how much I hated myself and how miserable I was when I noticed one of my friends cutting and experienced all these feelings myself. After I saw the scars and marks on her arm I vowed not to harm myself anymore. Although it helped temporarily the feelings always came back, even worse than before. I will be making a thousand paper cranes starting Nov. 2, 2009.
On Nov. 2, 2009 my boyfriend is leaving for the marines. There is a 60% chance he will be stationed in Afghanistan. He will remain on active duty for 5 years. With each passing day I realize how helpless I am to stop death. I cannot deactivate a land mine Caleb’s car may run over. I cannot take a bullet for him.
The only thing I can do is make cranes. Hundreds of cranes with a wish written inside the final midnight blue one.
My goal is to move out by June 2010. Otherwise I will be moving to North Carolina for the summer and seperated from all my friends, family and my boyfriend. He will get one leave and the only place he can go is Kansas City-where I currently am. I have $350 now. That’s enough for one month’s rent of a (very cheap) apartment. I need $700 more at least plus money for normal living expenses. I’m only 16 and even though this will be a hassle I’m excited. It’s the first serious project I’ve ever taken up.
