How I did it: With a whole heaping of good luck, no sickness, no forest fires, great weather (about 3 months sleeping without a tent or shelter).Sometimes I felt like giving up. Canada is a really long way from Mexico. But I was smart enough to wait a few days, and without fail it always got better and I'd have been crazy to go home. Now I miss the trail. I'm homesick for places I only went once. I long to be back there, but fear it'll never be that goo… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I did it fast and hard, sometimes 70km per day. I think I have the speed record but that is a downside, I should have gone slower and enjoyed it more. Read how I did it…
I’ll be getting my visa in the next few days. I already have my tickets and my blog is well under de3velopment. it’s all starting April 1st.
In 2008 I’m walking across Japan. Starting from the south and heading north and east. That way I get a little longer in the ‘cherry blossom front’ as it sweeps northwards. Mind you at 3pmh will it really make any difference? I think it just makes more sense to me to walk away from teh equator. I’ve alread taken one night course in Japanese and am working my way through some audio lessons.
I’ve found the best way to do soething is to start doing it now. Once all the prep work is done it’s just a matter of turning up and getting on with it.
Onward!
