How I did it: Thinking long and hard about what kind of things she likes, what her taste is, etc. Looking through internet and tons of magazines for ideas, spending hours window shopping, spending hours figuring out how to pack the gifts, basically trying to make everything as perfect as possible was kinda of fun actually. Saw “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” yesterday, a “harmless” romantic comedy made in the midst of the second world war. A farse, really, about some small misunderstanding which leads to a long marital querral. I guess anybody will recognize the comedy based on experience from their own relationship. Overall, not one of Hitchcock’s best movies.
