My most notable kiss in the rain was with my current partner about 2 years ago.
We went backpacking and just as we arrived at our campsite from hiking all day it started to rain.
We were able to drop all of our stuff and just enjoy the cool rain and each other.
It was wonderful!

I don’t know what happened but it was like a switch went off. Something needed to change.
This has been a goal of mine for years, and then one day- I just knew, it was time.
It has been a whirlwind of a month. In the last 3 week I have: decided I need to start my own creative business, found a job- part time so I can support myself but have some time to start my new project, given my notice to my existing 40+ hour a week position and started working on a business plan.
It’s all going so fast!
I may have become over zealous. I have decided to make 3 wines this year, all floral/herbals. So far I have bottled up a batch of Dandelion and I have a Lilac that is “racking up” (took me forever to find out what that meant in the recipes I was reading.)
In a few more weeks I will be going out to get Elderflower to make a sparkling wine which I tried for the first time last year with inconsistent but moderate success.
And so I wait. I think that is the truly trying part of making wine- you don’t really know how it turned out until at least 6 months later, and by then if it went wrong you have to wait again until the fruits/flowers are in season! No wonder wine making is considered a fine art, I am sure it takes years to get good at.
