My first experience was absolutely terrible. The red cross worker made a mistake and now I have to ice my arm all day, and use warm washclothes tomorrow. She said I am going to have a bruise all up and down my arm. I had to wait forever, she didn’t understand my heart problem and after it was over they spilled juice all over trying to put a blanket on me. They ended up having to ring the bell and have me lie down. Another worker found it impossible to believe that if I drank any more water, I would puke, and she got really offended when I turned down and extra-large blood t shirt. I am still glad I did it and I’ll probably do it again, but it was completely awful.
