in some of the other members goals who choose to make dying their goal. As I read them I found myself becoming depressed myself. Makes me wonder what happened in their lives to make their life seem so worthless. My first instinct was to start posting to try and encourage but I realized immediately that that would be pointless and stupid. Their reaction to such a post would be predictable.
In the final analysis I think that this is something that shows just how blessed I really am. I will live as an example without pushing it in everyone’s face.

I’m really not trying to brag about his but I always feel like I am. I guess it’s because it is such an exotic thing to have done. Anyone who is thinking about it. WORTH IT BIG TIME! I was in the military for a period and because of that I was able to live in half a dozen different countries and to visit about 2 dozen other countries. Every American should have to spend some time overseas. We are so insulated from the reality of the rest of the world that it seems to me that many Americans no longer appreciate what they have here. Might be a controversial opinion but that is how I feel.
Learned this about 20 years ago at an accelerated academy which is renown as a language school. I picked up 4 years of college level Russian in 9 months. Made for a miserable 9 months but I did learn. I did not get a good grade though. I don’t think I really had time to absorb it. As I used the language over the next few years I actually probably doubled my proficiency in the language. Now, though, I no longer use the language in my work and it has slipped quite a bit. It always makes for a good conversation starter though.
