My son was at the kitchen table doing his homework when my husband decided to finally change the light bulb in the ceiling fan above the table.
The bulb broke off leaving the threaded metal base in the socket.
All this was distracting to our son and husband finally let it go until later.
so far so good.
in the meanwhile, dinner was ready to be served.
I had our son put his work aside so we could eat.
Husband Dear finished eating first and felt compelled to take care of that effing bulb base.
I watched in complete disbelief as he proceeded to grab the base with pliers; sending a shower of glass fragments down over the dinner table.
Did I mention he was the only one finished eating?
There were shards in the butter tub, on top of the noodles….
I grabbed the kitchen trashcan and started chucking everything and… this is the kicker ...
he gets all pissy because “I was going to take that in my lunch tomorrow!”
I should have let him.
Nature has a way of “thinning the herd”.
Imagine you are in charge of organizing a GIGORNAMOUS parade!
What is your parade about?
Are you celebrating,
Are you protesting,
Are you honoring someone/something,
Who is the Grand Marshal?
