I used to care so much about what people thought about me. I would dress how I thought people would want me to dress, and act how they wanted. I was focusing so much on what other people thought and making them happy, that I wasn’t focusing on making myself happy. I can’t pinpoint exactly when I stopped caring, but I first realized it two nights ago. I told a friend that I was going to make a robot with a group for an extra credit project for my programming class. My friend said to me, “But it sounds so nerdy though, doesn’t that bother you?” And I realized it didn’t bother me. People can think what they want to and I have decided that their opinion is just not worth it.

How I did it: For Confirmation, my church makes the kids do one of the community service projects they set up, so i decided to go work at the soup kitchen for my hours. Everyone there was so friendly and they are just like anyone else. I feel that we have this notion that the homeless are these filthy people who creep on little kids, but they were very nice and polite. Read how I did it…
I went to Canada for a family reunion and discovered my cousins shoot skeet (little clay disks) for fun. I went with some of them and they taught me how to shoot. I didn’t hit any but it was great anyways.
I love to run and run with a cross country team. My current time is around 19:38 but I want to try and break 19. Good luck to all of you and keep running.
