Two weeks to go, and I’ve uploaded a little blog to put all my writing on. Not that I think it’s that good, I just want to make sure I try my very best and I’ve linked it to a few of my friends so even if I
do get lazy, I’ll know that there’s people checking it (maybe XD) so I’ll feel more inclined to keep reading. I wrote out most of a chapter-by-chapter story layout, though it’s vague at best but it should be sufficient to get me from one point to the next and keep writing. I’m so excited about this!
So odd, I just cut most the junkfood and candy from my daily diet and though it was difficult at first, I find that two months later my diet has drastically changed… for the better! Cos even though I didn’t really feel like I had to try hard at all the past two weeks (I even went on a trip to Disneyland Paris and had fries with every meal for four days D:) I just checked the scales and I’m 2 kilos lighter since I last checked before the trip! That’s… thinks 9 kilos now, and my colleague who I hadn’t seen in 50 days pointed out yesterday that “Whoa, you look like you lost a lot of weight!” when I saw him again yesterday. So we can cross this one off, though I intend to keep up the healthy lifestyle. I feel so much happier and better now that I eat my daily quota of fruit, veg and fibre and whatnot.
Anyway – DONE!
200 euros in 2 months! Not bad XD
Compared to last May I’m past the 5, but from where I started this month it’s only 4 so I’m continuing a bit longer at least. Eating healthy and steering clear from junkfood is amazingly easy at the moment, so is working out 3 times a week. I’m happy with myself ^^
After painstakingly trying so very hard to figure out how to put a lowered ceiling in I lowered my expectations a bit, bought 2 buckets of paint, 2 pretty looking lamps and a hell of a lot of paint rollers/brushes. I’ve taped off nearly all the door frames so now it’s waiting for my next day off, finding some old newspapers and getting this done!
Also… I probably need to ask my brother to connect the electricity to the lamp, lest I electrocute myself :x
This saturday a big box arrived, filled with folders, books and papers! Now it’s Tuesday, I’ve done the biggest part of my first portfolio entry and I’ve busily been watching French (Disney) movies and listening to French (Disney) songs XD So I’ve started and I’m ever so excited!
I’ve officially applied! Expecting a significant drop in my bank balance and a pile of French books at my doorstep pretty soon now. I’m so excited ^^
Right, so week 1 sofar had me doing the Zumba workout four times a week already! Haven’t skipped a day sofar. Times varied between 20 minutes and 40 minutes, my stamina is kinda sad really. I actually walked UP those 16 stairs too, so yay! Tried biking to Dave’s work, lost the chain after less than 15 minutes and had to walk nearly half an hour back :( But hey, they suggest 30 minutes of working out 5 days a week so I’m doing well so far ^^
This is as much part of my four-workouts-a-week thing as it is a whole separate thing I’d like to finish. It takes 8 weeks to complete, in theory but it might be longer. It’s also something I want to do together with Dave, we don’t do that many things together which is a shame. It’s also an active attempt to not spend so much time behind the computer, AND to look more in shape when we go to Greece in a month!
I get this feeling that if I just actively follow the other goals I wrote down this will easily happen without effort XD
I have this idea of going to London and actually getting to meet those I talk to most of my time on MSN but face to face. I’ve done it before in the past but that’s years ago by now and I just recall it as being amazing fun! There’s only so much the internet can compensate for, nothing quite like hanging out irl =T
Well, since I put this goal on here half an hour ago, let’s add an entry to it! Sofar I started a Zumba work out I intend to stick with 3 times a week at least. I did a 10 minute workout yesterday, mostly because I’m just in terrible shape and I overconfidently jumped right into a normal workout. Today I lasted more than twenty minutes, haha. Tomorrow I’m going on an hour long mountainbike trip and I’m trying my very hardest not to take the elevator anymore and descend (and more importantly) ascend those 16 staircases instead. Oh, and I bought a football. After a decade of playing football (and quitting 4 years ago) you have no idea how good it feels again to have one of these to kick and throw and run after! It’s purple and glittery, but an actual proper football, mind you. Now the rain just needs to stop, because I doubt our neighbours below will appreciate me practicing indoors…
I suppose technically it’s a fifth, I did graduate highschool in English, German, French and my mother tongue Dutch after all. I might be getting a bit too optimistic here though, what with my French study starting in September.. but we’ll see.
Dave and I plan to go on holiday with Dave’s sister and her boyfriend and now they brought up the idea of heading to Greece and perhaps do some diving there. Something I greatly encourage of course! So with a bit of luck and a lot of planning we’ll be spending the first week of September not in Ireland but on a sunny Greek Island, spotting octopuses…octopi? and many exotic looking fish!
I once wrote about this place and it had me enchanted ever since I searched for some images and saw the interior and exterior of this German castle. The inspiration to Disney’s iconical Sleeping Beauty castle I would love to see it with my own eyes!
Dave claims I already did this, but I don’t agree. I insist that what I draw is something I’m actually completely happy with and sofar, that just hasn’t happened. But to make myself feel better here’s something that I did like… for uhm.. 80%.. well 90..5..maybe. Grm.
This one is set to start in september, right after the summer rush at work. It officially takes 4 years but according to the prospectus I could finish it in 3. I better check if that’s true though…
