I got married last August 12, 2005. As an engagement git to each other, my fiance’ and I bought a second home in a private secluded community. Its 42 miles from the other home we also own together in the city. So, when the weekends come, we love getting away and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake, the marina, the gold course, and the PEACE and QUIET, lol.
We got a great deal on the place and it was move-in ready. The previous owners were divorcing (sad to say) and had fallen behind on their mortgage payments. They needed an immediate buyout to save their credit. So…..we paid off their Mortgage and literally got a steal on the house. We bought the place for 117,000 and in the short time we have owned it it has been appraised recently for 142,000.
It truly pays to shop around. We lived together 4 years before getting married and had bought several properties together. We knew we wanted a vacation home a few years ago. We just took our time until the best deal came along.

I attended my very first race in Bristol wayyyyyyyyyyyy back when it was the ONLY night race and all the tracks and drivers were Southern. There was no California or New York tracks back then, no Northern tracks period. Nascar was started in the South by Southerners and thats the way it will always be remembered by the veteran fans. I remember when Dale Earnhardt, Sr was Rookie of the Year BEFORE he was ever married to Theresa. My first Nascar autographs were Buddy Baker, Harry Gant, and Richard Petty.
I have attended races at every single one of the tracks. Chicagoland Speedway, Daytona, and Bristol will forever be my favorites.

I was cast to say two whole lines in a movie many years ago. You hardly notice me in the scene but the experience was a blast. A friend of mine was part of the actual cast and I got the role through him. Acting has never been my life goal but this was a great experience to tell my grandchildren someday.
