I have been drawing since as far as I can remember, and I found out about anime when I was 12. I have no amazing talents, but I am currently 14 and perfectly happy with the way I am going. I have been influenced by many manga-kas and doujinshi artists, but I still want to improve more.
I am perfectly happy to help anyone else, however I cannot say I am perfect at it. My best advice to anyone is practice, practice, practice! Sound familiar? Well it truly does ones art wonders, and copying also helps (as long as you don’t trace) even though it seems like cheating, as long as you show reference to the original artist if you post it anywhere it should be accepted.
(The manga page I am showing was done in one night, and with the mouse so it’s a little bit below my usual standards.)

I recently got my hair cut short (ALMOST boyish short), which was fun for a while, however I soon felt too boyish, and bored of it. It has grown out about 4cm, and it’s not into the awkward stage yet (it usually does when it reaches my shoulders because I have a long neck and it curls at the base, but not at the top.)
I sometimes straighten it and I know thats bad :( but at least I have naturally more resilient hair. I find its good to sometimes let your hair get a bit oily before washing it.
I have a healthy diet (from healthy parents) and I don’t use hair products such as hairspray or hairgel so I’m hoping to keep my hair healthy for the main procession of this.
I have only just started, but my advice is to not give up on impulses, as I have done previously. It’s not worth that tempting cut, unless its for a trim if your target is long hair. Good luck to all the poor (patient) souls who are also doing this. :)
