Stop buying things from Wal-Mart

David King sums it up perfectly. Aside from the way the company treats their employees and suppliers, and even their customers, which should be reason enough to not support them, I’ve yet to see a clean store. Add the mass of people who go there, and it’s just a terrible environment.

I'm probably on some gov't watchlist now

But, really, do these people actually think they’re accomplishing anything? I’m sure they do, they’ve probably been shown a bunch of propaganda training videos, and told repeatedly how they’re so important, and this job is critical, blah blah blah. I found out last time I traveled that you can’t take a lighter on an airplane anymore. But you can take up to 4 books of matches. Can someone explain this? I didn’t even know I had the lighter in my bag (things just fall in there in the closet). What’s better, my friend who I was traveling with walked right throgh with his lighters. Yes, that’s plural. He had one in his bag, and one in his cigarettes which he put in the scanner. Literally right under their noses! And of course, take off your shoes, belt, empty your pockets, take off your watch, cell phone, where does it end? Is the next step rectal exams for all? All this does is create a huge bottleneck, and irritate travelers even more. (I don’t know about anybody else, but after going through check-in I’m already in a bad mood. Contract employees are the worst thing a business can do for itself)

get in shape

Every time I start this, something has to happen to interrupt! I’ve made changes to my diet, but of course I need to fit working out into there as well, but that gets really hard to do when you’ve got so many other family/work/personal things to do on top of it, all demanding your time, and all that have to get done in that short time between work and sleep. Lately I’ve been traveling for work a lot, so that’s definitely not making things any easier.
