Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

follow a cleaning schedule.
Check out the 'Fly Lady'

There is an awesome website that keeps you on a cleaning and decluttering schedule. Visit to see it. Each week of the month you will concentrate on a different ‘zone’ of your home to clean. If you sign up for the emails, you will be overwhelmed with testimonials, daily ‘flight’ plans etc. I switched over to the ‘digest’ version because I felt it defeats the purpose to get so many emails to read. But the website alone has an unbelievable amount of information. Best Wishes :)

grow old gracefully ( 100 things that would help )
Growing Old Gracefully

I probably won’t be able to come up with 100, but here it goes.

1-Learn something new each day.
2-Use my creative side each day.
3-Make each day a little different from yesterday.
4-Lose weight.
5-Exercise more.
6-Learn facial exercises to firm face and neck.
7-Wear clothes that aren’t frumpy.
8-Meditate to lower blood pressure.
9-Do stretching exercises to remain flexible.

be more spontaneous

Last Saturday, me and the hubby drove around and visited several different places that we like (Soulard Farmer’s Market, Cherokee Antique Row, Bellerive Park, Downtown River Front) all was spontaneous. This time it worked out well. However we have had several times when we went to a restaurant (one that doesn’t take reservations) only to find a 2 hour wait, then on to another only to find the same etc. There must be a method to this.

stop wasting time
Stop Wasting Time

I need to get control of my time. I absolutely LOVE this website (43 Things) however I find I am spending a lot more time on the internet—good or bad :0

Finish what I start
Finish Craft Projects

The first step is to get everything organized in the same place. Now some is in the basement and some is upstairs. It all goes back to ORGANIZE :(

There was an article about needing quilters at church in the church bulletin, hmmm. Also now that I am cleaning out the basement, I am finding all kinds of quilting material.

Create My Day

What a concept :) I can actually PLAN my day—but what do I do when it gets derailed? My 43 things need to be organized because I think many are sub-goals of larger goals.
