I didn’t have six months saved, but I did have some saved when I got laid off. What this meant was that I could afford to pay my bills at the same rate—even though I don’t have as much coming in right now.

Given that the cancer Scruffy had rarely metastizes, the amputation should cure his cancer once and for all.
He’s been hiding under dressers and beds a lot, but he is eating, and he is learning how to walk on three legs. In other words, his prognosis is good.
So I’m checking this off, as it’s now DONE.
