How I did it: I picked out a pattern from a magazine - I made sure it was pretty simple so I wasn't put off. The pattern was actually incorrect, so my first model was a mess. After some messing around, I got the pattern how I needed it to be. After that, I just concentrated on each row - whilst watching good films on dvd! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had originally decided to have some stars with a rainbow on my inner arm, but I also had the idea for a lily, but hadn't found the right design. I went to my local artist, and saw his selection of lillies and with a little messing about, he made it perfect for me. I couldn't not have it then! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I took Hannah to the jewellery quarter today and just dropped into the first jeweller that dealt with repairs and adjustments. They gave me an excellent quote and told me it would take only 2 hours.I am so proud to have Hannah wear a ring I bought and chose for her - and to see her face light up when I gave it to her, placed it on her finger, and it fitted! I’m trying hard to make a bit more than the minimum payment each month. I managed it this month so huzzah.
When stuff gets straightened out – I’ll be able to throw more money at this – and therefore bring down the monthly payments. woohoo.
I have knitted a test pair, to see how they come together, and I’m quite impressed!
So, I went ahead and knit the first one for mum, and the second one shall climb onto the needles tomorrow I think.
In the meantime though, the lodger type fella, K, has decided that he would like a pair too!
When I’m done with mums’ then – on to Ks slippers!
