New baby, new beginnings... 16 months ago

About this goal, I know that I will be a wonderful wife and mother. The mother part is quickly approaching as I am now seven months pregnant with a son, Lincoln Avery. I am so proud and happy to be given the chance to be mommy again, after losing my Anniliese in November of 2007.

I have always been a good girlfriend, friend, even acquaintance. So why on earth would I not be a good wife and mother? haha, silly me. I know this is a given, and I am ready for the challenge.

pay off my student loan
Progress... 16 months ago

So, I still am paying off my student loan. Slowly but surely it’s getting wiped out. Currently, I have received a letter that said I was “paid ahead” meaning that I am moving forward faster than I thought I was in paying off the interest, NOW I am actually paying the principal instead of interest, which is finished being paid. My progress on this goal is moving quickly and I’ll be back to update upon completion.

Onward!

pay off credit cards (read all 2 entries…)
Did and DONE! 16 months ago

So, it’s been a long, long time since I’ve visited this lovely site. I’m back though, and ready to tackle this particular goal.

Recently, I lost my steady job at Assurant Health, I was there for four years. They cut 170 positions along with mine, basically, they down-sized. I kind of saw it coming, but I never thought I would be one of the people that had to leave.

Such is life though and I was let go in my fifth month of pregnancy, this complicated things further, naturally. I was given a $6,000.00 severance AND they also paid out my pension at a few thousand. I am extremely good at paying my bills and keeping tabs on my monies, so I made a plan. I would use my severance to pay off ALL of my standing credit card bills, which were about three grand. They are practically gone, GONE I TELL YOU! no one knows how relieving it is to see a zero balance on your card statement. I only have one left to pay off at a mere $400, which will be gone this week! who knew that getting canned would ultimately lead me to better things?

Ahh yes, this goal IS FINISHED!
