Most of the photos are done for the first book. I think I need about 8 more to be finished. The manuscript will be going to an editor next week. I have done an edit on the third book and will be doing a light (I hope) rewrite over the next couple of days. Recently I have found that I need to work more and write less.

I am looking forward to going back to Japan. The culture is fascinating. I actually used some of my observations about the wild cats from the Tokyo area in one of my books. I went to Japan with the intention of doing some research about the Edo period. I hoped to use this info in a book I’m working on. Instead I stumbled across something more interesting then what I was looking for. Oh yes, I also did learn a lot about the Edo period.
Working with animals isn’t for everyone, but for those who have a calling, it’s great. There are many opportunities in the animal field. The secret, like most professions is to find something that complements you natural talents and interests.
