So I’ve had people tell me, lately more frequently, that I can be very negative, and that my first response to lots of things is to pinpoint the negative aspects. I stopped and gave a good bit of thought to this and realized that my main mode of thinking is negative. Self-defeating thoughts, depression-like thoughts, negative thoughts…I’m going to stop my habits of being and thinking so negative. I want to be happy, but it’s not been too easy for me to simply will myself into happiness. I believe I need new ways of thinking to do this. A cursory search on google dug up four urls that I’m going to scope out and see how the help:

I’ve fully read this and I like the approach. The “ask a question” approach goes well with me questioning things already. I’ll have to play with this and see if it’s easy for me to apply in practice.

I started digging into this but didn’t finish. I’m a little weary of “about.com” articles because there’s something that I can’t put my finger on that doesn’t sit perfect with me. What I got from the article so far is interesting. I’ll finish it soon.
Google turned up two more links that I have only glanced at and haven’t started reading yet:
