Distillato

We were squeezed, they asked us about everything. We had to wait, lot of months. We were a bit afraid, we didn’t know what to expect. Then she came. We hoped for a younger child, but we never regretted our “yes”. A wonderful six 1/2 years old girl. She spoke like a 4 years old, but she had an incredible smile, an astonishing energy, an unquenchable desire to love and be loved.

Her knowledge is growing up very fast. In just a few months she has learnt to speak perfectly, to read and write and loves playing with numbers. She doesn’t love mush stay seated at school, but she’s improving even there. Now she’s no more going to sit on her teacher’s lap.

The couple of adoptive parents needs to learn a lot about themselves. Interact a lot with social services and never be scared to say “no” to the child, never get tired to hug and kiss him/her or let him think silently if he/she needs it.
Sometomes it’s easier, sometimes more difficult.

To us it was absolutely worth doing :-)

I can’t stand someone who thinks to be the right being for everything, the one to control to everything.
He’s exaggerating, his hands are everywhere, even where a leader shouldn’t keep them.

I hope one day to be able to click on “I’ve reached this goal”.

They thrill you, they tell you are the hero. But I want more than that, I want to read all kind of books.
