I’ve come SO close to meeting Joe twice over the years … but it never quite happened.
My husband bought me tickets for an upcoming show in St. Louis. Maybe I’ll get lucky this time? Stranger things have happened!

How I did it: I signed up for a four-week course at a local arts & crafts supply. There are four courses in all, but even after completing just the first course you can make some great-looking cakes. I enjoyed it so much, I have continued taking classes. Read how I did it…

I have my third class of Wilton Course 2 tonight! I am looking foward to learning how to make new flowers! :)
Last weekend I made a cake for my Pastor’s 29th anniversary. It was my first sheet cake – a little lopsided on one corner but pretty good overall! I got many compliments on it.
I also made a couple of cakes for my sister when she came down to visit. I have been enjoying the practice … and I’m looking forward to the holidays!
I’ll post some photos soon!
Finished Wilton Course 1 last night. My final project was a rose bouquet cake.
I may not be a master decorator, but I can at least decorate a decent cake. It’s very satisfying to know that I can cross this off my list!
I had so much fun and have received so much encouragement that I start Course 2 next week!
