I’ve been reading this book “Wealth within your reach” by Francisco J. Colayco and it has inspired me to actually start saving money. Reading it actually gravitates me towards to making it really happen.
As a start, let me share with you this very basic formula:
Savings = 20% of your income
Income – Savings = Expenses
NOT: Income – Expenses = Savings
I wish i knew this when I was still in college. Oh well, there’s no use crying over spilled milk. Oh and yeah, I’m only 22 there’s plenty of time to save. : )
(I’m talking of financial independence here.)
The hardest thing to do is getting started. It’s arduous to find a drive to actually start doing it (esp. when you have parents who are very much willing to support you). But I think I’m nearing the beginning. I’ll never stop believing that my “wants” will always be at my grasp as long as I do something about it and more importantly, if HE wills it.
