she says” my car makes a funny sound when I stop”. My significant other and I go outside and have her pull forward and backwards. Her breakes were metal to metal. Last week I call her after work and she is cussing some man out. Turns out that she was giving this man a jump with his car…AT NINE O’CLOCK AT NIGHT. They make movies about scenarios like that. Anyway as she was jumping this man’s car, her car battery goes out. (Hence the cussing). She eventually got someone to jump her car and she left. It occurred to me that she needs to learn some of the basics of a car. Here is just a small list of items:
*Cell phone car charger
*Teach her how to change a tire
*How to check oil
*How to check radiator
*How to cheeck tire pressure, give her a tire pressure guage
*How to check transmission fluid
*Emergency kit for the car
*Simple blanket
*Gallon of water
*Fix a flat
*How and where to refill windshield wiper fluid
*How to track oil changes
*When to flush the radiator

Now the hard part comes, how to convey to her this information so that she will listen without saying that I am overexagerating the danger. I try to tell her that most predators don’t seem threatening until they pounce. OOPS too late. It is a challenge. I might need her dads help on this one.

There are worse things in life than being unmarried. Like being married to a complete asshole. It has made me into a stronger individual because of the things I have had to learn. I can handle my finances, I’ve purchased a home, purchased four cars and maintained them (change a tire, fluids etc.), raised three children, and cared for many others. I even had a bit of fun along the way. Overall, not too shabby.

Once in a while, the subject will arise; via my mom. But she has been married five times and still on the manhunt. So to each his own. It’s a matter of choice.

Even though I have made peace with my hair about a year ago, I need a change. So I cut my hair SHORT. I cleaned out my car (read 10 yr old clunker) and gave it a wash and wax; as well as a thorough spit and polish on the inside. Yeah Me.
