How I did it: Around 2004-2005 I was really into Psionics in general, focusing specifically on Psi manipulation (almost required for any Psi-based specialty) and telekinesis. With Psi manipulation I saw results immediately, however it took me nearly 2 weeks of 20 minute daily practice sessions on the psi wheel to get results in TK. Shortly after, I got to the point where I could spin the psi wheel with decent speed, and switch directions in about 3 sec… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I took two semesters of Fencing (Sabre) at the local community college. It is a really fun sport. (The key word here being "sport." I know many people (my ex-coach included) who think that Modern Fencing is superior to Pre-Baroque era Fencing. Modern Fencing is actually a sport largely derived from 18th century smallsword swordplay (including epee and large portions of sabre), not a complete martial art in it's own right. It's merely a sh… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I haven't finished this goal, and I will obviously never complete this goal in a lifetime. I just wanted to clear a spot on my list. I'm also not quitting this goal. Think of this as myself reaffirming my way of life. Read how I did it…

I finally stopped making excuses and tried conversing entirely in Japanese. It was over an IM client, but it still counts. (Plus it bought me a few extra precious seconds when reading/answering)
Anyways at 45 minutes, I did much better than I expected to. (considering I only did 3 days of refresher work beforehand.) The only times I used English were when I was unsure of how I phrased something in Japanese, and decided to type it in English as well for clarification.
I recommend checking out the blog fluent in 3 months for inspiration. Awesome stuff!
