Having been a chronic insomniac and getting by with 4-5 hours of sleep the past fifteen years- and waking up at random hours has messed my general well-being, and led me to set this goal.
I was crazy enough to have done polyphasic sleep for an year when I was on a sabbatical from work when I had my little one…except that during the day I would forget to take the naps, and every 2-3 weeks, I would end up sleeping one monophase of 12 hours.Egad !
Currently, I am closer to getting about 6 hrs of monophasic sleep, and then hope to step it up to my uber goal of a good night’s rest -which would be sweet 8.

I guess I started this goal vigorously and ended up being road-kill, lifting weights and such :-) I did lose weight though !!
So after a brief medical hiatus and having recouped, I am doing moderate and low impact exercises that are gentle on the femme physique.
I have long ways to go to reach this goal…for now I do yoga, recumbent cycling and stretches, twice a week. And I try to walk 10 minutes daily.

Well…um…”going completely organic” was a bit of a stretch…since when I set the goal, I didnt have clarity.
But for the past year, I have done my best extent possible of buying and eating local and seasonal produce, cooking from first principles, avoiding high sodium and trans fat junk, no fast-food, no GMO products, no hormone-laden milk products and eating more natural grains, fruits and protein (being a vegetarian, I had to watch my protein intake).
