How I did it:     We asked our landlord if we could buy our rental because we liked it so much. Then we bought the house in about a months time... and it appraised higher than they sold it to us for! Read how I did it…

Dream Deferred.... 13 months ago

Well… I entered and made four kinds of cookies… none of them won… not even an honorable mention… the baking compitition is rather stiff apparently… however I am not going to give up, I will try again next year… maybe enter some photography as well… I figure the more I enter the better my chances… we’ll see…

Summer Mosquito Season 16 months ago

This will be a particularly hard summer… I went to Wakarusa in June, in Kansas. Apparently they have ticks and chiggers and mosquitos and they all love me and my blood… because I came home covered in bites… and they itch like hell… I have around 35 different spots right now… and I am trying like hell to leave them alone… I have to be in a wedding in October… I can’t still have this mess going on then…

Right now it’s been 11 hours into this stretch of not picking… I have to realize that I’m not picking… but I don’t know what else to do when I fall off the wagon… hypnotherapy maybe??

I am trying though, despite what my boyfriend seems to think… he thinks he’s helping but most of the time he just makes me feel worse and it makes me pick more… oh well… blah… 13 more hours and I’ll have made it a whole day…

I’m entered! Officially!! I paid my feel and entered for the baking competition… I thought about entering a photograph as well but I wasn’t sure so I didn’t… maybe next year… but yeah- it’s done… I bring my cookies in July 26 fingers crossed I hope they win!
