Sometimes the beauty of the world is so overwhelming, I just want to throw back my head and gargle. Just gargle and gargle, and I don’t care who hears me, because I am beautiful.

For me, this move has been amazing. Moving from the rain and gloom, to an active, social, green reality has been transformative. But I don’t think it is for everyone. I have experience living in other countries, and while Hawaii is just another state, it is also half way to living in another country. If you’re white, your moving to a place where you are a small minority. And time, moves different here. Surfing, and Las Vegas are religions here, I don’t get the Las Vegas thing at all.
I really just want to surf, and enjoy being there, so I decided to not take a teaching contract. I’ll sub a bit, maybe look into being an adjunct at the U, and take it from there. If anyone has any ideas on where to live let me know, I’m going to stay with friends in Honolulu for a few days – I don’t know if I’ll stay there, or go to Maui…
