There are three main aspects for choosing this goal:
- challenge myself
- doing something to enhance my stamina
- think about my life
To start i choosed an easy and short trail: The gendarms path in Denmark. I´ll start on August 10th and planned tobeat my first hiking experience within 6 days. I know thats only 12 kilometres per day, but I´m not really a fit person.

“The Gendarms Path
The 74 km Gendarms Path in southern Jutland follows the coast along fjords, bays, sand beaches, moraine cliffs and an island shore. This coast has been part of the border with Germany since 1920 and the path was patrolled on foot from 1920 to 1959 by Gendarms in blue uniforms, who were both customs and police officers. From 1959, police patrols in cars took over, parts of the path on farmland were ploughed up and the Gendarms Path was almost forgotten.
In the 1990s, there was major interest in restoring Denmark’s historic paths. In this case, there was the opportunity to both restore an historic path and to establish a path along one of the most beautiful coastlines in Denmark.”
