On day 163(yesterday), I jumped on the scales and 100 pounds was gone! I waited til today, weighted again, and it’s still gone!
Now comes the scary part. Do I keep going until I turn into a wrinkled weight-chart posterboy or do I celebrate? I wonder, if you put enough lighter-fluid on carrots and lettuce, will they burn? :^)
Seriously, this one goes in the done column and a big thanks for all the inspiring posts over the months. I’ll still be dieting for a while to support my Wife who also is going for 100 (She’s halfway there!)
Is losing 100 pounds in 164 days too much? Probably, but I don’t want a do-over. Goodluck to you all! Hang in there, it’ll come.

Well, kinda..
You see, my Wife and I both started the 1000 calorie diet New Years Day. As of today, I’ve lost 79 lbs and She has lost 36.
Same foods, same amounts, and She exercises more than I do! Life’s not fair. So, Ladies, when the big guys like me put up the big numbers, don’t let it discourage you. It may take a little longer, but you’ll get there.
A lot of you folks aren’t enjoying the family support I am and my hat is off to you for your super results in spite of it!
Keep it up!

7 weeks since my last post and 87 days in a row living on </= 1000 calories a day.
Not really as drastic as it sounds. Cereal for breakfast, fruit for lunch and one of those frozen boxed entrees with a huge tossed salad for dinner. And of course, those “tasty” baby carrots for snacks. And sure I’m taking vitamins and supplements.
Those frozen dinners have come a long way and there are enough decent ones to avoid a lot of the boredom.
With the dieting and some (need more) exercise I’ve dropped 62 pounds and my goal is in sight.
Things I miss: beer, mexican food, burgers, (did I say beer?)
Things I now enjoy: crossing my legs, sitting in booths, riding a bike around the neighborhood, driving my wife’s car without feeling like a ball-turret gunner.
I enjoy all the posts and I’ll get back to you later.
