Breed ideas

I have narrowed it down to Pomeranian or Japanese Spitz (pictured). I’m thinking pomeranian as they’re smaller since I don’t like big dogs, but I don’t think JS would be too big – I considered a Samoyed before but they’re “large” dogs. JS’ are small to medium, and poms are small, sometimes even “toy” I’d assume..

I considered Alaskan Klee Kai, but they’re discouraged for new owners. I also seriously considered a chihuahua, but am more in love with poms and JS’. I considered a pomchi, and may still if I can find a decent breeder, but decent breeding for mutts is harder to find and prove etc.

Breeding is important; temperament moreso than coat length or show quality, but temperament is of prime importance. There is only one JS breeder in my state on dogz online (I’m not sure how active they are) and FIVE pomeranian breeders, wow. I’d prefer a white dog (shallow, right?) so I’m not sure even with five breeder options in my state whether I’d be able to find my IDEAL colouring in the versatile pom. I’m willing to fly a pup in to my state if I find a truly wonderful breeder with a perfect pup for me, but would prefer not to if possible since flying is stressful.

So those are my thoughts on “getting a dog” currently, but it’s still a ways off.

learn first aid
Upgrading knowledge

It’s been 6 years since I got the “Intermediate First Aid” certificate when I was in high school. I think that certification is “Senior First Aid” or something, but it’s likely out of date. I want to do Apply First Aid with the Australian Red Cross ASAP. It costs $150, though, so it’ll have to wait until I can spare that much money (I could change my name to the one I actually use for that amount of money! But the ability to save someone’s life is probably higher on the priority list, y’know?).

Apply First Aid needs to be updated every 3 years to be industry standard, and CPR updated annually.

Beauty Spot

Decided on a Friday that I seriously wanted it, asked around my ‘alternative’ friends for opinions on piercers, found the best in my city, booked for Tuesday, went in, said “ow” when it hurt (once or twice I think, but my foot didn’t even move so it wasn’t painful at all really), shelled out the money and here I am :D

Hoping it’s a keeper.
