Success:

Things have been very hectic lately, I’ve been rarely sleeping/eating/having time for myself, but I’m emotionally ok (to a certain extent), and this is something I haven’t felt for a while.
I wish there were more hours in a day, but for now, I’d take whatever I can get.

Procrastination?

My main focus this bootcamp will be uni. I have exams and papers to submit this month, and these will determine whether I have a chance of passing the semester or not.
I need to stop postponing things and leaving everything till the last minute.
This month I will try my best to study EVERYDAY, and stop giving myself excuses.
It’s just 1 month! 4 weeks! I just have to push myself this month and then I can relax and chill as much as I want.
1 month, starting NOW!

February Bootcamp 2014: Great 28!
Mid February:

Things have been very hectic lately.
This month I will try my best to focus on uni. I have 2 weeks to finish 13 papers and 3 projects. I barely have time to do anything else. I will also try to squeeze in a 10 min workout everyday.
Hope everyone is doing great.
Love. xx

What makes me happy...

I’ve been doing some thinking lately, trying to remember the times when I was most happy and what were the things that contributed to my happiness, and then try my best to do more of these things. I’ve come up with a longer list than I had expected.
Among these things are:

  • music
  • books
  • writing
  • the internet! (interacting with people from all over the world)
  • spending time with my sister
  • running
  • playing
  • going on adventures

… and the list goes on… but these are the main constant things that have made me the most happy throughout my life.

Hope everyone is having a good month so far :)

Chapter I: January 2014

Uni:

After I dropped out last year, I spent all summer thinking about my life and what I want from it. I realised that I liked what I was doing (when it comes to uni) and that it was the best option for me, but found that the reason I was hating everything was because I wasn’t comfortable with the university I was in, and with my teachers. I felt like I wasn’t learning anything so that made me feel less motivated.
I enrolled in a new university this year, I start mid January. BUT I found out two days ago that K is going there this year and that we will have one course together!! (arghhh!!)
After I started yelling and throwing things in the house, I finally let all my anger out and I realised that I can’t always avoid toxic people, I just need to know how to deal with them.
This semester I will try my best to FOCUS on my school work without letting K or anyone else get to me. I worked very hard to get to where I am today and I won’t let anyone get in the way of that. I just need to FOCUS!
I’m writing all this now with much confidence, and I’m looking at things from a positive perspective, but I don’t know how I’ll actually feel when I’ll meet K. I hope I won’t be weak and do something stupid.

Work:

I won’t be able to have a full time job along with uni this year. I just need a job for a few hours per day, just to get some extra cash and to have more motivation, and hopefully kiss that procrastination goodbye.
- Step 1: Update my CV
- Step 2: Apply

43 Things:

I’ve been on this website since 2006 (2009 with this account) and I really love it. It has been a major part of my life. I love the community here and I love every single one of you. You’ve all changed my life in a way or another (with or without knowing). I’m really grateful to you all.
This month, and hopefully this year, I will try my best to post more, and most importantly to comment more and interact with all of you.
I want to try to be as good and as inspiring to you as you’ve been to me, and I hope I’ll be able to achieve that.
I know this sounds very corny, but you have no idea how much this community means to me. You’re my internet family. <3

  • With uni, and hopefully a job, I won’t have time to do anything else. IF for some reason I won’t get a job, I’ll use that extra time for some volunteer work.

Happy Bootcamp everyone! And here’s to kicking some ass in 2014!

December Bootcamp! :)

For some reason I’m really excited about December. 2013 has probably been the worst year of my life and I can’t wait for it to be over. I want December to be a great month just to say a final Fooo you and goodbye to 2013!
I really like the title of this bootcamp. Let’s see if I’ll be able to accomplish anything this month.

Dedication:

- Study: Try to finish most assingments before Christmas break.

- Exercise: At least 3x/week, and go for a walk/run whenever the weather permits.

- Food control:Lots of celebrations means lots of food. Enjoy it, but in moderation

- Film something everyday

Celebration:

I’m not much of a Christmas person, or any holiday for that matter, but I don’t know why I’m very excited about the coming holidays. (Could be because I’ve been looking at some old photos and I remembered how these simple things used to make me happy)

- Celebrate Saint Barbara’s day: I’m not religious, but this holiday used to be so much fun when we were kids. I don’t consider it to be a religious holiday, it’s more like a family ritual to me.

- Christmas shopping: Try to finish them as soon as possible.

- Decorate for Christmas

- Listen to Christmas songs

- Spend Christmas with my family

- Solstice rituals: This is something I usually celebrate on my own, but maybe I’ll do it with someone this year.

- New Year: Be happy with myself by the end of the year.

I feel like a little child again :]

My Birthday

Things haven’t been going so great lately. I need change – I need major change! Change in my lifestyle and in the people in my life.
My birthday is coming up this Monday, maybe that will be a turning point for me; new beginnings and new life decisions.

I feel really weird about my birthday. K and I had many rituals for our birthdays (it was a couple of days apart, so we celebrated it together, I had never celebrated my birthday before we met). K is no longer part of my life, and I’m still not sure how I feel about it. I’d like to believe that I’m over everything that happened, but there are certain moments that jog some very intense memories.

I’m forcing myself to remain positive. It’s just a day like any other. There’s no point in making such a big deal out of it. I just feel a little bit anxious whether K would call or not. (I’m not sure which is best).

New Approach

I think it has been well established that I’m the queen of procrastination, this may be due to my constant depression and anxiety, or to my lack of motivation. Or in other words, I’m just lazy.
However, this November I will try to approach things differently; instead of making a daily ‘ToDo List’ I will try to make a ‘Done List’.

I found making a daily ToDo list to be very stressful; I end up doing very little – if anything at all, and I become very frustrated for not accomplishing anything.

Writing a list of the things I’ve done every day will hopefully motivate me to actually do something. I will of course keep a ToDo list for things such as meetings, appointments, exams, and whatnot. But for everything else I will not restrict myself to a daily routine or list of goals.

I don’t know what I’m doing, I don’t know if this will work. But things haven’t been working for me for the past couple of years, so I thought it’s time I try to do things differently, maybe things will work this time.

OK. I’m babbling again. I would appreciate your suggestions. :)

Have a great evening/morning/afternoon/whatever time of day it is where you are.
