Thanks to my lovely wife, we have a CSA and are composting, right here in New York City. Meeting more neighbors and really developing community where it’s not generally expected.

How I did it: Driving near Yellowstone very late at night after seeing Old Faithful in a very small rental car in June of 1998...saw several yellow objects reflecting back at me in (what I thought was) the distance. Suddenly saw a hulking shadow around what I realized were eyes. I really think I could have driven under the nearer one. A mile or so down the road, I passed a sign that said "WARNING! MOOSE MAY BE IN ROADWAY".... no freakin' kidding! Read how I did it…
The Attorney General in NY makes it pretty tough (as does the current state of the market), but Legacy Farm Cohousing (aka Ulster County Cohousing) is getting there, and I’m happy to be a part of this great group of people. www.legacyfarmcohousing.com (I did their web site, too!)
About a third of the way there…. and taking an extended break. I shall return to it and finish it!
