Monday Meeting 4 days ago

Kevin has been craving Don Pablo’s, Mexican-American food, for such a long time now but his friends wouldn’t go with him. On Monday, we went out for lunch and shared a big entree with the delicious-hot homemade salsa and chips appetizer. I let him pick out what he already had in mind and we split it with me eating most of the rice and him trying to devour every last drop of queso blanco on the plate. We overtipped the waiter.

Then we went to an electronics store of all places… and ended up salivating because of the Mac computers, comparing big-screen TVs, and looking at the top-of-the-line fridges—everything we can’t afford. After much discussion over pros/cons of all these items we ended up in the bookstore reading a magazine before he headed home. It sounds boring on paper but I had a fantastic time with him. We always could talk about anything and everything under the sun. By the time I got back to my dorm I didn’t even remember that I actually had a class that day, let alone two of them.

So, I grabbed my books and went to the library for English. Strangely, I felt freer and lighter even in class. I already understood the lecture. I was swiftly skimming a magazine on the sly that I picked up in the library. And then after the lecture, I was completely absorbed in my biographical research so by the time I checked the room—everyone had left the library and I had only a few minutes before my next class. I was on a different mental plane entirely. Strange how a Monday lunch with Kevin did all that to me.

Walks 1 week ago

On Friday, Kevin and me went for a walk in the rain right before it started to get dark and on Saturday we went for another hour-long walk in the chilly autumn weather. The yellow leaves covered the grass and our ears were turning pink.

Forming a routine... 2 weeks ago

I tried out a couple more moves (oblique elbow taps, alternating bridge, quadruped, etc.) today. I’m going to combine them into an actual workout by picking my favorites/the most intense ones. But mostly, I just danced today and yesterday. Not for long enough to be considered a workout but long enough to make make my abdomen cramp during it.
