I recently started spinning on a spindle and I just love it. I want to go as far back in the process as possible (bar actually shearing the sheep) so I am working backwards from spinning to acquiring raw fleece.
There’s a lot to learn, but my next stop is dyeing!

How I did it: I got contacts a while ago now but never got on with them. I mainly got them for special occasions when I didn't want to wear glasses, and for use on sunny days when I wanted to wear nice non-prescription sunglasses. They're just too much hassle for me to use, I've decided they're not for me. I never intended them to be for regular use so I probably haven't let my eyes get accustomed to them, but I think they are nasty little creatures.Oh … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I became a member of the Register of Artists Models in London. Last night I had my first session and I really enjoyed it. If you don't have a central body in your area, the best way to go about it would be to approach local colleges and universities. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I used 'Teach Yourself Icelandic', and I also picked up an English/Icelandic dictionary.I found it easy to get started but difficult to progress. I mastered a few chapters of the book but I found I would get stuck going over the same chapter over and over again and not taking in any more information.I went to Iceland with a basic vocabulary and some difficulties with pronounciation, and I came back feeling much more confident with the lan… Read how I did it…

I realised the problem was not the height of the heels so much as the fit of the shoe. I had been wearing size 37, but my feet are actually size 35. I had buying bigger shoes to fit my foot width not realising that they just didn’t fit, and then wondering why I couldn’t walk comfortably in them! I got some very comfy wide fitting shoes in a 35.5 with a bar across with about a 2 inch heel, and they are so comfy I can wear them all day. I also got a pair of 2 inch wide wedge boots, and the same applies.
I will still be trying to increase my heel height, but I will make sure that any shoes I buy are the right size and wide enough for me.
Nearly a year on now, since I started growing my hair. I started with a longish pixie cut and it’s now easily reaching my shoulders. The amount of growth in 11 months is quite astounding! I have only had a couple of tiny trims. I think to celebrate getting to 12 months I will celebrate by going to a hairdresser and having my mane tamed, so it has actually has some sort of style rather than just being ‘there’.
