10 hours on Friday night, 8 1/2 last night, and for the first time in I don’t know when, I woke without the alarm. I love my bed. In fact, I think I should take myself off there right now :-)

How I did it: Can't believe what a difference this has made - I have been staining the shed with a natural colour for a decade, but this year I painted it 'country cream' with soft olive green on the lentel and window sill and any other bits that looked suitable. It looks brilliant! Really modern, and really old fashioned both at the same time. And because I am working all week, and the weekends are always wet, I asked my out-of-work … Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well, obviously everyone knows how to go out and buy anew DVD player - but I don't think I would have done it if it wasn't on my goal list! At least not for a couple of months, staring at the broken one, wishing I could play some of my favourite films, lying in bed a thinking about it....no, just straight down to the local Powercity sale, and there you go. The kind person with me even made sure I got one with a scart lead the s… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Took a week off work to get this draft sorted out, but just ccouldn't get my head around it. In the end my lovely friend C. dragged me out for lunch and retail therapy on Wednesday, and when I came back to the PC six hours later, I had two really nice candleholders to brighten my desk, had eaten some decent food (been living on toast and junk food for the last few days) and my head was clear....I could see exactly what I needed to d… Read how I did it…

I hesitated to add this goal, it seems rather frivilous and vain…...but thst is clearly half my problem! In my forties, if you don’t mind, and still no idea how to use a bit of make-up, and as for the hair….looking like something the cat dragged through a bush backwards is no virtue!! Even the nuns/my mother who instilled in me a belief that anything beyond a bar of soap and a toothbrush was one step away from being a scarlet woman all those years ago would be urging me to put in a little effort now!!
So here goes. And thank goodness for the internet. In dispair at my hair an hour ago, didn’t I stumple across a whole thread of people who suffer with thick, kinky, coarse hair just like me. And a pea-sized application of coconut oil later, I feel a lot more confident that I won’t have to cut my hair to get a brush through it tomorrow morning. Small steps, small steps!!
finaly after a ridiculous amount of messing around with wrong e-mails and forgotten passwords, I am back in to my Rivendell account. And yay, have actually got to Rivendell, so my new destination is Lothlorian, nine hundred and something miles. That should get me off the bus and walking!!
